Getting this error when trying to deploy to my APPEON Test Server.  The deploy function worked yesterday.

Failed to generate DWSQL.

Operation system:  Service Pack 1 (Build 7601)
Developer version: 9.0.1756.00
PB version:        17.0

1. Source File[CAppServerDoNet.cpp] Line[2869] Condition[bRet] Error info[Unknown error.]

I have been able to deploy a smaller test app with one window that does not communicate with a database.

Help,

Ron

I think i may have had a similar error to that when my configured database is down or appeon deployment couldn't connect to it.

Do you have your database profiles and connections setup in the appeon configure /setup?

Is your appeon setup able to connect to the database you have configured?

Hi Ron,

I can help you with this. But first I need to ask you some questions:

  1. Is this happening on Appeon for PowerBuilder 2016 build 1128, or is it PowerServer Web/Mobile build 1689?
  2. Are you using PowerBuilder Universal 2017 build 1681? Or is it PowerBuilder Cloud Edition build 1681? (Only the Universal Edition can deploy to PowerServer)

As Mike asked:

  1. have you been able to create and connect the Data Source in your installation of PowerServer?
  2. Have you been able to create and connect the Transaction Object of your deployed application on PowerServer using said Data Source?
  3. What Database version and/or edition are you trying to connect to?
  4. Is it 32/64 bits?
  5. Are you using ODBC or Native Client?

I need this information to help you get through this.

Regards,
