I'm getting failed to connect to database when using Oracle Native Drivers only when using the configuration tools to deploy to my Appeon Power Servers.  This happened after a corporate McAfee Client update with everything locked down using the firewall.  Everything worked before this latest McAfee client was deployed.  Does anyone know what services, ports or executables need privileges for the deployment process to a .Net Power Server using Native Oracle Drivers?

I'm currently dead in the water.

Thank you, Ron

The latest McAfee NAV was treating the EONADT60.exe as a Trojan and quarantined it. Corporate support was able to see it in the logs.  I now have view access to the McAfee event logs.

Thank you all!

Well ... wasn't that "unsportsmanlike" of McAfee!

Glad that you found the issue though!

Hi Ron,

Here's a short list of some of the applications used by PowerBuilder and PowerServer Toolkit for deployment:

  • EonADT60.exe
  • EonUFATool60.exe
  • EonCIS60.exe
  • PB170.exe
  • EonDbgUI60.exe
  • Eoninfomng60.exe
  • hh.exe

Oracle, by default, uses the port 1521 for the TNS listener. But for PowerServer, it's the ports that you configure (usually developers use ports: 21, 80 and/or 443).

Regards,
