Hi everyone

I watched a presentation rerun from the Elevate 2018 online - https://bit.ly/2reD3x8

In this clip titled "Demo: New Features of PowerBuilder 2017 R3" I noticed on the presenter's screen the Build number is something later than 1858, which is what my company is currently using to develop our application.

Where/How do I get that build so I can utilize all the new and exciting features in PowerBuilder 2017 R3?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

CJ

Hi CJ;

   That's my video that you were looking at and I was using PB2017R3 build 1858 all the way through. This is the latest PB2017 build.

I think that you might be thinking about some of the other videos that were used in the keynote segments that utilized a pre-release of PB2018 - which would have had a higher build number at that time.

Hi Chris

Thank you for your reply.

I am using PB 2017 R3 Build 1858 but I don't see JSON in it. Maybe I am missing something.

Do I need to download a patch or some library to have that?

Thanks!

CJ

Hi CJ;

  No, you should have all the JSON "goodies" in build 1858. You can check the following ...

Object Browser

1) Search the System area for JSON objects ...

2) Search the System area's DataWindow Control ...

If you see the above - your PB IDE is correct for the R3 release and your ready to use PB's JSON features.  ;-)
