PRODUCTION ISSUE :

We have recently compiled our old PB code to 2019 R  and pushed the latest code to production.

Now our data windows is no longer have update capabilities and we are getting an error whenever the dw.update() statement is getting executed.

Do we have to set any property to bring that update capability back.  ?

Attached the error for your reference

Appreciate your help in advance.

Thanks

Ramesh Govindarajan.

you need to edit the datawindow and put the update back.

if anyone changes the datawindow's sql via the IDE, it removes the update settings.

If you hate that and think that is really stupid thing for it to do, well i agree.  sybase promised to fix it, but never did.

Remesh - If you are unsure how to configure the update properties, open the old version of your app in the old version of PB, edit the same DataWindow and check its update properties.

P.S.: I 100% agree with Mike... It is a very "unsmart" thing for the IDE to do.

Sounds like some solid Unit & QA steps were bypassed. :-(
