One user with our PB2017 application is reporting that if he goes to print a 3-page DW report, and in the printer dialog that comes up chooses preferences and sets his printer to duplex printing, the pages print out of order - page 3 on the back of page 1, and page 2 separately. The report is in portrait mode.

I cannot replicate that on my printer - the duplex pages come out in the right order.

He also says that if he saves the report to PDF and then prints it duplex, the page order is correct.

Has anyone else ever seen this behaviour?

Make sure collate is turned on in the printer settings. If it's off, it will print the pages by doing multiple of the same page for pagecount, then moving to the next page, instead of printing all pages in sequence before moving to the next copy. By using collate, it will also force a blank page when there are an odd number of pages in the print job.

My apologies - I misread something (need more caffiene). There are some settings for paper binding that may affect it this way.

He may also want to install a second copy of the driver, and see if it prints ok. If so, checking between the two will indicate which setting had been changed.

What printer (driver) is causing problems?

I didn't ask what printer he had. The fact that it mis-behaves if printed direct from application, but not if he saves / prints to PDF from the application and then prints that to his printer, is pretty weird.

Since it behaves differently from PDF printing vs PB App printing, have him compare print settings between the two applications. Maybe the app he's using to print the PDF is changing something that's making it work properly.
