I am using Power Builder 2019 R3 version and deploying the desktop app to web based.
Our application connects to a database (Sybase ASE 16.0) which is hosted on a server (Unix based).
It is understood that after deploying to web, the app installer needs to be installed in client PC which is automatically prompted.
but in our application, to connect to the server where database is hosted , we need to already have the open client software installed in the client machine. i.e DSEDIT
but my query here is that , is there any solution where we don't have to install anything in the client machine and it should always get automatically connected to Sybase.

Hi Ilms;

   If your deploying a PB app to the Web in PB2019 R3, then your using PowerServer. If that's the case, then PS (in the middle tier) is doing all the DB access. Same in PB2021 "cloud" apps using PS2021. So no DB Client software is required on the End User's machine.
