Good afternoon.

Tell me, please, is there any mechanism in the new version of PowerBuilder 2017 to deliver programs to users ' machines and update them if necessary at startup?

Hi Aleksei;

   No ... PB2017 and even in the up coming PB2018 - creating an App MSI install is not possible from within the IDE tool set.

   Yes .. If you have PB 2017 Universal Edition that comes with PowerServer, you can create an IWA (Installable Web App). The IWA App is housed on a server and is delivered to the desktop dynamically at run-time via a network link similar to like using a URL in a web browser.

Regards ... Chris

Yes, PowerBuilder Universal Edition is able to convert your existing project to Installable Web Apps.  Some work will be required to remediate certain PB objects and commands that are not supported for such web deployment.  So it will require some effort and it's not magic.  Please watch this video to better understand this option: https://youtu.be/P3oRzFaWBRc
