Hi,

Automation tool Ranorex Spy is not able to find the xpath of text label element.

Accessibility = 1 is there in pb.ini file.

There is a screenshot attached highlighting the issue.

This issue was not there with PB 2022. The issue is now coming after upgrade to 2023 R3.

Automation work is blocked so please suggest a remedy or a work around.

Please let us know if any other details are needed.

FYI: PB 2023 R3 Improvements

https://docs.appeon.com/pb/whats_new/Accessibility_improvements.html

"..The accessibility option is moved from the [Data Window] section to the [Application] section; a new option Accessibility Support is added to the PowerBuilder Runtime Packager; and pbacc.dll and PBAccessibility.dll are required only when the Accessibility Support option is selected."

Thanks for highlighting this. Changing from [Data Window] to [Application] resolved the issue.

Hi Preetish;

  FYI: Appeon moved from using C++ 2019 Microsoft compiler in R2 to using the C++ 2022 Microsoft compiler in R3. So the Test Software vendor might have to adjust for this. Plus, the DW Object itself has new features like AutoComplete and DDLB/DDDW validation behaviours. So I am guessing that you would need to work with Ranorex in order to resolve these issues (just my guess).

Regards ... Chris
