Hi,

I have managed to export my desktop application to web using the powerserver toolkit and powerserver. After the export, i wanted to try the application if it works as its desktop version but when i try the application, the datawindows where most of the functions are placed is missing. No error prompts were shown. this application implements the themes feature of pb2019

i have attached a screenshot of the web version and desktop version

UI Themes not supported in PowerServer 2020.  We plan to support this in PowerServer 2021.

If your app contains lots of unsupported features, I recommend waiting for PowerServer 2021 as that version will support many more PowerBuilder features.

This may be the reason why that module is not appearing on the Web version. I assume that the scenario will be the same with the mobile right?

Yes, UI themes is not supported in PowerServer 2020 no matter which client OS you use.

But just to clarify, your issue could be caused by other reasons. The UI Themes was just one obvious unsupported feature I noticed.

Hi Lamuel .. I have themed Apps that run properly as web applications under PowerServer 2020. They just look more like W7 / W10 (non-themed) apps in the browser.

Hi Lemuel;

  My guess is that some command or (set of) is crashing and not letting your App complete it's instantiating process. I have seem this myself when I have used certain commands. I would now ...

1) Use the AEM (Console) application to view the PowerServer logs for more information

2) Use the Web Browser debugger to step though your Open and/or Constructor event code for that Window

3) Consult the "Unsupported Features Analysis" report for those objects that are not appearing

  Do other windows / DWO's not render or just this instance?

Regards ... Chris

Hi Chris,

i have checked the log and there's no error. It seems that the themes functionality of PB2019 is not yet supported with the version of Powerserver.

Correct but, themes are ignored by PowerServer. So that does not explain the missing DWs.

BTW: Are you using PB2019R2 and PowerServer 2020?
