Hi,
I have a strange issue:

I have a powerbuilder datawindow (dw_src, dw_tgt).
When I'm editting datawindow dw_src, I'am able to edit cells in preview and of course on runnning app

Now, i want to make exactly same datawindow( dw_tgt) but with data from another table.
So

  1. I copied it (export -> edit in notepad -> import).

  2. now there is same copy but on another name, and in preview I'am also able to edit in preview

  3. I'am changing data source - another select

And from now on i CAN'T make it editable in preview/app. I try every setting in pb but... im losing hope.

Am i missing something? Is there hidden setting in datasource or..?

Thank You :)

PS i compared every setting/checkbox from properties between dw_src and dw_tgt and everything looks identical. I even updated Rows>update properties, but no luck

Delete the DWO you now have.

Go back to the SRD file.
Regenerate the object to ensure that it has no errors.
Regenerate the object in it's PBL with all the other object in the PBL.

Assuming no errors, import it again.

What version of PowerBuilder are you using?

If you're using anything recent (12.5, 17, 19), you can "Edit Source" instead of export/notepad/import. Saving after your edits will show you compile errors (although it's not too good at giving you a specific line to look at).
