Resolved database connection losses (ASE 16.0)

Good Morning, folks,

we're losing constantly our database connections from our PB application to our Sybase ASE 16.

This problem occurs since a couple of weeks. Our network admins cannot see any significant traffic problems.

All SQL tools lose their connection as well, so it's not really related to PowerBuilder itself.

 

Message from the client is:
ct_send(): network packet layer: internal net library error: Net-Library operation terminated due to disconnect

Does anybody of you have the same disconnect problems?

Thorsten -

   Have the DBAs checked to see if there is a timeout set on connections in the database?

   Is there a firewall timeout for connections with no activity. This is usually implement by Security - and it has been my experience that they do it without telling anyone.
