Appeon PB2017 R2 B1756.

Database : SQLAnyWhere 9.

I have a curious issue. If I run the application thru the PB2017 IDE it work perfect, but If I run the application via the EXE then I get this Error "Connect Failed".  "999 The Driver's namespace is not set".

Does any of the PB Master in this Forum has seeing this issue before.

Regards,

Clarence

Hi Clarence;

  If your trying to run the EXE of your development PC and are getting this error - then make sure that the ADO.Net NameSpace and/or ODBC DSN is defined at the SYSTEM level and not the User lever. If the error is being encountered on another deployment PC ... make sure that the NS and/or DSN is declared on that PC at the System level.

HTH

Regards .. Chris

Why would anyone want to use ADO.Net against SQL Anywhere? ODBC is SQL Anywhere's native interface.

I'm not using ADO.Net.

Christ is the one that came out with ADO.net. But in his favor he said ADO.net and/or ODBC DSN.

LOL...

Clarence
