Would anybody happen to know when contemporary menus (Graphics/Fonts/Etc) will be fully supported in PowerServer Web?

Regards,

Mike

You're very welcome. If you are eager to try a beta version of PowerServer 2021, please email our product management team (product@appeon.com) to see if you can be included in our private beta testing cycle.

Hi Mike;

    PowerServer 2020 is the last version that will support the PowerServer Web feature. In PowerServer 2021, the focus will be on "Cloud Apps" as its replacement (similar to IWA). That is what Armeen is implying in his answer. Cloud Apps will support both menu styles.  ;-)

Hi Miguel, Different customers have different needs so we try to cater best we can with different products because that’s how we will keep customers long term. Some want to build cloud apps completely in PB or cost-effectively convert existing C/S apps, in which case we recommend PowerServer. There are others that want to build hybrid of PB front-end and C# business logic layer, in which case we recommend PB + .NET DataStore. There are other customers want HTML front-end, in which case we recommend .NET DataStore (and in future SnapDevelop will support developing HTML front-ends but for now must use another IDE). Also, we will be offering PowerServer on a subscription basis (in addition to perpetual) to make it more affordable for small businesses.
