Would it be possible to create a community version of Appeon Powerbuilder.
I've been working with PowerBuilder since 1996 V4. But now have been sent to retirement a little bit sooner then expected :-).
Unfortunately that means no more access to the subscriber versions of PB.
However, I have created some personal project in PB over the years.
So I would love to continue keep working with PB for these small private non commercial stuff.
As well as keeping uptodate a little bit. You never know I might get too bored.
However, I would prefer a more affordable version for a retiree.
My alternative is moving everything to something that will be not as nice as PB :-(.
The question was asked by several people during last years Elevate because a number of people are in a similar situation.
Who knows, it might work out as a good marketing step as well. If people can learn there are easier ways to develop things than what development has become over the years. Still can't understand why there's no more interest in a decent RAD 4GL environment.
