Resolved Can I Upgrade PowerServer from WorkGroup(50) mobile to mobile-web?

I have two questions.

1.-

I have PowerServer 2020 Build 2703.00 64-Bit Edition WorkGroup(Appeon) Mobile.

Product Edition: WORKGROUP (Appeon)
   Product Version: Appeon PowerServer 2020 Build 2703.00 64-bit Edition

   Operating System:

 Windows Server 2019

 

Is it possible to upgrade to Mobile-Web?

So I can deploy Web apps due to Mobile deployment is going away in PowerBuilder newer versions.

 

2.- Would iOs and Android browsers will be supported to run web app deployed by PB to PowerServer?

 

Your advise is always very appreciated.

Hi Clarence;

  After PS2020, the web feature is deprecated as well as mobile.

  PS2021 & higher versions are now supporting "cloud" computing only. As such, the Appeon Mobile & Appeon Web features were removed in PS2021.

To upgrade your current PS2020 license though, please contact the Appeon sales team at Sales@Appeon.com for further details. Note that PS2020 is the LTS (long term support) version. So you can continue to run that until 2026-01-22. That includes PB 2019 R3 (last PS2020 compliant version).

Adding to what Chris said, PowerServer 2021 and newer supports Windows devices only. iOS and Android not supported.
