Hello! Using Powerbuilder 2019 build 2082. 

Does anyone know how powerbuilder desides what browser to use for HyperLinkToURL? No matter how i change default browser and file associations on my computer it still uses Internet explorer. 

According to this post,https://community.appeon.com/index.php/qna/q-a/what-is-the-browser-used-by-the-inet-hyperlinktourl, it seems the only solution is to look in the registry to do what HyperLinkToURL should do for you. 

Can anyone confirm this? In that case, it seems like a bug.

FWIW:

I recently discovered that the default email client can also be ignored by windows / pb, depending on your PB.ini settings for PBUseSimpleMapi: https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/search/view?id=4163

So either Windows is now crap at determining the defaults (or on purpose ignoring them) or Appeon has some little problem(s).

Microsoft would prefer not to give us a choice but they were legally forced into it.

My guess would be that Microsoft changed how Windows determines the default browser and that function hasn't changed to use the new method.
