Hi

I am looking for a tool to make tests compatible with PowerBuilder 12.6 (and more), SQL Server 20xx, batch, Web service
I want to be able to:
- Write test scenarios,
- Perform them automatically,
- Generating test reports

What tool would you recommend ?

Thank, Thierry

I did some research, and with no recommendations - because I have no personal experience with any of these tools -  I present this list.

http://www.zeenyx.com/
Here's their presentation on PBTV:  http://www.powerbuildertv.com/index.php/en/upcoming-webinars/229-test-automation-for-powerbuilder-applications

Here's a thread with a variety of tools listed, most of which are NOT compatible with PB - which is always good to know.

Hey Thierry,

we have tried different tools to test our pfc based applications. Since two years, we are using Ranorex.

Best regards

Heiko

All - Most of the input on this thread seems to be 1-2 years old. I have an application running on PB2019 deployed in a Citrix environment that I really need to get automated testing built for. Anyone have knowledge on tools outside Zeenyx AscentialTest that work with PB2019 or positive results with Zeenyx AscentialTest?

I'm not aware of any new testing tool options for PowerScript, but since this thread was created PowerBuilder 2019 now allows you to create C# projects.  For these C# projects with PowerBuilder 2019, any C# compatible testing tool will work, and for your convenience we have integrated the free and open-source xUnit.
