Hi

I have tried to run the application with PB 8 it goes perfect. But whenever i am  running an application EXE after build, it gets closed before opening main window(login window is opened). i have removed some dll's dated 19-09-2002 (pbdwe80.dll,pbsys80.dll,pdtra80.dll,pbvm80.dll) and replaced old dll's(dated 09-10-2001). then it works. may i know the reason please??

Regards,

Backya

The general rule is that the runtime dll files deployed with the compiled application must be from the same version and build number as the PB IDE used to compile it.

You should look into upgrading to a current version of PowerBuilder.

In Windows Explorer, right click and choose Properties from the menu. Then go to the Details tab. Look for Product version. It should be the same build number displayed in the lower right corner of the PB IDE or on the About window.

disable the anti virus checking for your app. also, look at the antivirus's logs to see what it says. microsoft's usually is fine, its other ones like norton that are generally a problem
