Resolved Application crash when opening specific screen

Hi All,

 

My application crashes when a particular screen is accessed. This issue has been reported by three users, but we haven't been able to replicate it ourselves. It only occurs when the screen is opened for the first time subsequent attempts work without issue. Any idea why this might be happening for some users and how to diagnose the problem.

 

Currently we are using PowerBuilder 2017 R3 version

Hi

It's extremely difficult to advise without some knowledge of the application. But these are my thoughts:

1. Go through the open event and other triggered events to look at what is happening.

2. What is in the event log, if anything, does this give you a clue.

3. What windows/processes have the users done before opening this window. Is it trying to create an object that has already been created somewhere else or some sort of clash like that.

 

If you an give us the error that the user gets on the crash and what is in the event log it might help.
