Hello,

I would like to know if PB will maintain updates for developments for Android and iOS devices,
because we want to launch an app on both OS.

Thank you.

Hi Armeen, I would like if the last version of iOS (v17) is supported with the "Appeon Worksapce". I´m triying to run Appeon Workspace with iOS 17 and Android 13, but, with Android 13, this Appeon Workspace is not available on Google Play.

Please, could you tell me if it is possible?

Thank you!

You need to upgrade to MR (maintenance release) # 2803 of PowerServer 2020 and then you need to compile the Workspace yourself. https://docs.appeon.com/ps2020/release_bulletin_for_ps/Build-2803-MR-Improvements.html

You should migrate off as soon as possible if you need to be compatible with newer versions of iOS/Android.  Here is the discontinuation notice for iOS/Android: https://www.appeon.com/developers/discontinued-features-in-powerserver-2021

Hi David;

  I suspect that you are referring to PB 2019 R3 build 2803 and PowerServer 2020 build 2803.

While PS 2020 is now deprecated, we are trying to support these two product releases until 2026.01.22.

That being said, the support for iOS and Android covers the O/S versions as listed in the product specifications.

FYI: https://docs.appeon.com/ps2020/release_bulletin_for_ps/system_requirements.html

Any new devices and/or O/S versions may not supported. That being said of course, we will "try" to accommodate newer releases of those where possible but, it might not be feasible if a new release of PB & PS is required vs a "patch".

HTH

Regards ... Chris

I believe the recommendation is that the mobile device UI be coded in a native language or HTML and that the PowerBuilder code be executed as web services.
