I have an application that has been migrated from PB 12.6 to PowerBuilder 2017. I have also moved the application from ODBC to ADO.NET.

My server is a 2016 Windows Server

I have installed the PB64RT170 and rebooted the server.

When I execute the application I am getting the following error:

error connection to database! -1: DBMS ADO.NET is not supported in your current installation.

Connection Info:

sqcl.database.*********

dbms=ADO.NET

dbparm=DataSource=*******,TrustedConnection=1,NameSpace='System.Data.SqlClient', Database=*******

Any Ideas on what I am missing?

I have verified that .NET Framework 4.7.1 is installed on the machine.

Hi James;

  Is the ADO.Net to SS working OK from your development PC - just not an MS-Windows 2016 server deployed APP EXE?

I meant from your PB IDE. Does the ADO.Net connection work OK from the "DB Profile Painter" and also when you run your App from the IDE?
