Hi,

How can I 'active' my license?

I have a licensed PB 2017 on my desktop - been working on it for months.

I loaded PB 2017 on my laptop and, after I was advised I was 'already logged on', I used the licence Manager to log off my desktop.  I was then able to accessed PB on my laptop.  I closed PB and shutdown the laptop.  I went to open PB on my desktop and was told I was already logged on.

I returned to the licence manger and my listing (our company has two licenses) was not there - my co-worker's was.  I set my details up again with the same user name and password but it is listed as 'No' for Activated.  I can still log onto the laptop version but my desktop says I'm already logged on.  In using the licence manager in an attempt to log myself out from the laptop, the Logout Users for PowerBuilder tells me 'You do not have any valid licences'

How do I 'activate' my licence no 1 of 2 licences?  What is going on here?

Thanks if you can help.

Bill

Thanks Michael,

Thanks for your interest.

Yes, I've been doing that but now I can't access the log-in reset in the license manager as my account is not active.  My setting is listed as not active (see screen shot).  I need to activate it again and that's the hurdle I can't fathom.

My co-programmer's is active and I logged on to my desktop last night using his account.  I can still log on to PB on my laptop.

Hi, I can use PB 2017 across two different computers without issues -- IF -- I "sign out" in the PB 2017 IDE on one computer before I "log in" on the other computer (and vice versa).

You find "Sign out" option by choosing "Account management" from the drop down in upper right-hand corner of the IDE. "Sign out" is located in the "User Account" section.
