Sorry Chris, was not sure how to describe what I was looking for and obviously this was a fail. Basically when running the app from outside the firewall we don't have access to the help files due to security. If a user selects help I want to display the help. I thought using a fileserver would actually "copy" files to the users PC vs URL would allow access to the file directly (Still learning the WEB environment). I was hoping that since I was using an OLE object that object would have direct access to the files on the server (The files are in the same server as the app). There are many help files and I did not want to load them locally on a users PC. Hope this sheds a bit more light on the issue.

As you state ... "when running the app outside the firewall it can't find the files". That would be a problem if the network guys did not create a "white hole" in the external firewall through to the inside firewall for your App to use a URL. I would suggest talking to your network security people to see if a "trusted" firewall to firewall connection could be configured.

The only other suggestion I would have for you is to place your Help file(s) in your DB. Then use a SelectBlob command in your PB App to access them when they are required.
