Hi Anoop ;

  It sounds like it "might be" because the CAL was installed as a "Public" version. If so, that means that the App User cannot update the CAL (even though it knows there is a new version) as the App user does not have "Admin" privileges. Thus, the update fails - but the App still runs. When you restart the Cloud App again, you would then get the same message once again (but again, the update fails as the App User does not have Admin privileges). Thus, the cycle continues on every App start to try & update the CAL.

  Could this be your situation?

Regards .. Chris

Hi Chris,

Not sure if there was a Public version installed. Uninstalling the CAL will help if there is a Public version is installed?

Just to add, I have admin privileges on the machine.

Thank You,

Anoop

Uninstalling the CAL is worth a quick try IMHO ;-)

Hi Anoop,

 The public version of the cloud app launcher mainly applies to the scenario where multiple users use the same client machine: that is, after one of the users installed the launcher, the other users don’t need to install the launcher anymore. If this meet your needs, you can refer to this URL https://docs.appeon.com/ps2022/About_cloud_app_launcher.html > How cloud app launcher is installed/uninstalled to install the public Launcher. Beside the feature described above, Public launcher has no difference from the standard version of the cloud app launcher on any other aspects. If the multi-user scenario is not the case for you, we suggest that you use the standard version of the cloud app launcher as it can install and update itself automatically on the client ends without requiring admin permissions.

In addition: if the standard and the public version of the cloud app launcher coexist on the same machine, the public version will be prioritized. Please select the launcher version to install according to your actual usage. Please note that uninstalling any one of them will not affect the use of the other launcher.

 Thanks & Regards,

Mora
