Folks,

We have a 32-bit Appeon application connecting to an Oracle 19C database. The application sits on a Citrix server with several versions of Oracle Client software installed, version 10 and 2 instances of 11.2.0.1.0 installed. When we reset the users password we flag the password as expired so that they must change it when they log in. We are currently getting the ORA-28041 Authentication protocol internal error message and the users cannot reset their passwords. So if we install a version of the Oracle Client software that is 11.2.0.3.0 do we install the 32-bit version of the client or the 64-bit version of the client? I am assuming that it would be the 32-bit client software but I am trying to get some validation before we do the installation of the software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Peter J. Savery.

Yes, for 32-bit PB app .exe you need 32-bit DB driver/client regardless the database itself might be 64-bit or Windows OS is 64-bit.
