PB 2019 R2 (19.1.0.2353)

Powerbuilder tries to load the following dll's when using PB and in the compiled exe:

1. pbstatusbar190.dll

2. pbdynamictab190.dll

to 1.: The dll is installed when PB is installed but is not included when creating the runtime with the RuntimePackager. The file is new in PB 2019 R2.

to 2. The file doesn't exist. Regarding the name it is most likely that it is a PB file.

I can't find any documentation to both files.

What are they for?

Could the absence of them cause problems?

Hi Gerrit,

I guess that for 1: This is just another of the many misses in the runtime packager

For 2: It's reported as a bug https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/search/view?id=4823. Seems to be "new feature" that's not released yet, but part if it causes to look for this non existing dll.

regards

Hi Miguel,

You are right, these two DLL files are used for the unfinished new features. We will fix this issue in PB 2019 R3 and make sure they won’t be used when EXE is launched.

PB Runtime Packager doesn’t need these two files anymore.

We will release them until the related new features are implemented.

If you find other necessary files that haven’t been packaged to the PB Runtime Package, please let me know.

Regards,

Ken
