We are currently using PowerServer 2022 R3 and have 5 applications built and in production. We serve these applications via Azure using Cloud Service (extended support) deployment model. We have 4 instances of these cloud service running in various regions - US East, Europe etc. Note, these applications are running in IIS.
Microsoft is deprecating the cloud service (extended service) in 2027. We are in the plans to migrate our applications to new service. Since Appeon supports Azure App Service, we are thinking of testing that out, but I have few questions and would like your advice on this.
- Do we have to create 5 different Azure App Service for the 5 applications we have running in the cloud?
- Looking at our current setup, does this mean we will have to have 5 Azure Api service in each of the 4 regions?
- Are there better Azure options to host these applications but managed by Azure. I know there is an option to have create azure virtual machines, but these are not managed hence we want to avoid this option.
Any thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Vinod
