Resolved Export PDF from datawindow with content hyperlinks

In a datawindow object it is possible to insert an object of type hyperlink, which when exported to Pdf, hyperlinks also work.

Hi Chris,

I am using 2022 R3 3391.

It looks like currently we can't attach a URL within a Datawindow.

if so, will the hyperlinking facility be added to a Text Control (or any other control) in a datawindow, so that when we create a PDF doc using the NativePDF! in PB, the receiver of that PDF document can click on the link and access the URL? 

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Moorthy;

AFAIK: This is not on the feature radar. However, I would now suggest that you open a Standard Support Ticket as an "enhancement request" for this feature to be added.

Hi Raul;

  Yes & No ....

  • No - The DWO does not have a HyperLink link control feature.
  • Yes - If you create a HyperLink  UserObject. Then use the OpenUserObject() command at run time to open the UO over top of a DW Control / DWO. The App user should not know that what they clicked on was not a DWO object / column.  Food for thought.
