powersever 2025 timeout

Hi,

I hope you can help

 

I have a power server app, the user logs on, some existing data is shown in a datawindows, they click to create an advice note for todays delivery, this in turns opens a datawindow. and inserts a row, they then fill it in.

My question is about when powerserver will time out the app for lack of use or the datawindow if it is not completed.

Most of the time it is fine but occasionally it times out they get a Transaction error etc.

 

Question

1 how long is the inactivity time out on the app ?

2 how long until the datawindow will time out or are the same?

3 can this be extended ? note i have used the longtransaction dbparam 

4 is there a technique to simulate useage - eg, timer event clicking something , retrieve a sql record etc.?

5 what issues will trying to prolong this cause ?
