Has anyone else experienced an issue launching the client application from Edge or Chrome recently ?

For us, it has stopped working from Edge and Chrome, but still works from Firefox.

We did notice Edge was patched in the last few days but the link to launch the application no longer works.

Prior to this, we were able to launch the application from either Edge or Chrome.

(PowerServer 2022 R3, with MR 3391), Windows 10 clients. Edge Version 130.0.2849.46

Good news that PowerBuilder 2022 R3 MR (build 3397) is available for download. You can get the installer from our Downloads portal at https://account.appeon.com/download (login required).

Just remember that the files change fix (#2) requires that you make the changes after every deploy

The updated version of Microsoft Edge appears to be functioning properly for deploying the cloudlauncher.

This is a horrible breaking change. We spent all day today troubleshooting checking our network and servers for what could have happened so suddenly and come to find out its an incompatibility with up to date browsers. This worries us for production applications once our application is released.



What is a permanent fix that Appeon is planning to do without us having to do the KB workarounds?

Our team is fixing the issue actively. Our current plan is to deliver a 2022 R3 with the fix next week.
