Hello Appeon Community,
I have a question regarding ORCA Script and PBAutoBuild.
A few months ago, my ORCA Script builds were consistent — it used to take around 2 hours to 2 hours 5 minutes to create the EXE every time. However, recently the build time has become very inconsistent, ranging anywhere from 2 to 6 hours.
I’ve already checked and tried a few things (like disabling the firewall and unnecessary background processes), but the issue persists.
To rule out system-related issues, I also tested this on another new system with the same specs, and I observed the same inconsistent build times.
My system specs are:
-
Intel Core i5-14500K
 -
32 GB RAM

Does anyone know what could be causing these random build time fluctuations or what else I could check to improve and stabilize the build speed?
Additionally, I want to start using PBAutoBuild, but I’m unsure how to set it up when working with a ws_objects folder structure.
In my workflow, I have the PB 11 version source code pushed to Git as objects. During the ORCA Script process, it creates the PBLs from those objects and then builds the EXE. How can I achieve the same flow using PBAutoBuild?
I am currently using:
-
PowerBuilder 2019 R3 (Build 2803)
 -
PowerBuilder 2022 R3 (Build 3441)

Any guidance, hints, or examples would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
