This problem is not related with PB.  It is either a problem of the IIS installation itself or PowerServer was incorrectly installed to IIS.

I would recommend doing the following:

1. Uninstall PowerServer (you can keep your PowerBuilder installed)

2. Uninstall IIS (not IIS Express), which is done through the Programs/Features of Control Panel

3. Reinstall IIS (not IIS Express), , which is done through the Programs/Features of Control Panel

4. Read through the PowerServer installation guide and make sure all the required .NET components are installed to IIS. Here is the link to the relevant section in the documentation https://docs.appeon.com/appeon_online_help/ps2019/installation_guide/ch03s04s02.html#Appeon_Server_installation_prerequisites_installing_IIS_on_Windows_7

5. Enter http://localhost in your Web browser and verify you see the IIS start page with no errors

6. Now install PowerServer... it should work

Just in case:

Another thing you could try, if nothing else works, is to uninstall all windows sdk's that you might have installed. After that, re-install the latest version of the windows SDK.

I remember I had some weird errors and doing so solved my problem.

Hi

Did you uninstal PB before installing the universal? It might be an idea to try that.

Is there any information in the event log that could point to the cause of the error?

Regards

David

Hi Aleksi;

This is actually IIS still running in the background. Sometimes even after you issue a STOP from the MS-Windows console APP, IIS keeps running. The PowerServer uninstall / install procedure needs to have IIS fully stopped.

Try issuing this OS command line (run CommandPrompt in ADMIN mode) ...

iisreset /stop

Regards ... Chris

W3wp.exe has to do with IIS.

Since I don't understand Russian, it would help if you'd translate all of the text on the image to English.
