PowerBuilder 2022 r3 build 3397 PowerServer application running on Windows environment deployed to Azure server farm SQL Server DBMS
Hello fellow PBLers... We are now at the point in our PowerServer journey where we are standing up our production servers. The issue that we are now facing is that the PowerServer version of the application is super slow. Opening a window and populating the data that takes less that a second running in Client/Server mode now takes upwards of 15 seconds to complete. I understand this architecture is susceptible to internet traffic, etc., but this performance will not meet our customer's needs.
Is there any "magic bullet" that might account for this type of serious performance degradation going from C/S to PS?
We have already requested assistance from our IT department to monitor the network traffic and server loads, and implement route tracing where appropriate, but wanted to see if the collective knowledge had anything that might help us.
Please let me know if any further details would clarify this question.
Thank you again,
Mike Sinclair
