PBWebView2 Fixed Runtime Not Working on Services Server

Hello,

Due to environmental restrictions, we cannot use the installable (Evergreen) WebView2 Runtime on every machine. Therefore, we are using the WebView2 Fixed Version Runtime and have deployed the PBWebView2 folder as documented by Appeon. However, we are seeing inconsistent behavior between servers.

The same deployment works correctly on our Application Server, but it does not work on our Services Server, where several .NET APIs and Windows Services are running.

On App Server - C:\Program Files (x86)\IT\MyERP2\PBWebView2

On Services server - C:\Program Files (x86)\IT\MyERP2\PBWebView2

Our questions are:

1 - How can we verify at runtime which PBWebView2 folder PowerBuilder is actually loading? Is there any logging, tracing, environment variable, or diagnostic method that can identify the exact location from which the WebView2 runtime is being loaded?


2 - Since the identical deployment works on the Application Server but fails on the Services Server, how can we determine why PowerBuilder is not finding or loading the Fixed Runtime from the configured location?
