Hi guys,
I'm trying to test an LDAP authentication login service used in secure mode (LDAPS); The port used for listening is 636.
I'm doing the test with PB12_5 but at the end i'll have to do it with PB2019.
I downloaded the pb2ldap zip from "https://www.appeon.com/zh-cn/node/3896" that is an application to test the LDAP login.
The authentication process works fine for example with this configuration:
Provider URL: ldap://www.btechldap.com:1389
Security principale: cn=readonlybind,ou=admins,dc=btechsample,dc=com
Security Credentials : btechpass
Security Credentials:simple
but when i try to use LDAPS for what i need to do, always have an authenitcation error. Here the parameters list:
Provider URL: ldaps://ldap.sanita.padova.it:636
Security principale: cn=xxxxx, dc=sanita,dc=padova,dc=it
Security Credentials : xxxxxx
Security Credentials:simple
where cn is the user (xxxx) and the Security Credentials contains the pwd.
The LDAPS administrator gave me the following information:
HOST: ldaps://ldap.sanita.padova.it
Port: 636
BASE DN: dc=sanita,dc=padova,dc=it
i'm also wondering if its' right naming the user as cn=xxxxx as i did , because i'm not expert in LDAP ....
Anyone can help me?
Thanks
Luca
