Hello,
Our application is running on the PB 2025 Build 3726 (Runtime app is deployed as 32bit). Application is deployed to the VDI (Virtual desktop). When the users run the application on the VDI, they are NOT able to print the pages/screen to the default printer on their networks.
PowerBuilder application on the VDI opens a dialog box with "Printer Files (.prn) file types. To work around this problem, users have to go to the printer setup through the PB application change the default printer to a different printer and then change the default printer back to the original default printer. After this they're able to print the screens to the default printer.
We also noticed that the VDI (virtual desktop) environment has multiple folders for the ghost script.
Desktops have only C:\Program Files\gs\gs10.04.0... No default printer issues.
VDI virtual servers have below versions. This is where the default printer is NOT retained and the .prn dialog box displays. Users had to manually change this every time they run a new application session.
C:\Program Files\gs\gs10.04.0
C:\Ghostscript\10_02_1
C:\Ghostscript\10_04_0
Below are the 46 runtime DLLs on the users C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\Common\PowerBuilder\Runtime 25.0.0.3726
I have attached the screenshot of the issue.
