Hi,

does anyone out there know how to convert a pdf to excel or csv / text programmatically, or using an command line converter.

I am using the latest verison of PB on windows 10

I have a requirement to be able to check a pdf document listing transactions against transactions stored in the SQL database within my application.

I know that i can use an online converter - adobe for example, but that is as far as i can see a manual process.

regards and thanks

Andrew

Maybe you can also use a pdf2text converter and import the text directly to excel or read it in Powerbuilder (e.g. to dw) and save  in excel format or fill excle using OLE.

Now I can only think of buying a product that performs the conversion by command line and from PB you run a Run with the application and its parameters to get what you want.
