Hello,
Our application currently runs on the PowerBuilder 2022 R3 Build 3356. We would like to upgrade the software to the new version "PowerBuilder 2025 R3". We got an email that below docking features will be discontinued from "PowerBuilder 2025 R3".
Discontinued Features:
• Docking windows. Customers who use docking windows in their application please migrate to normal floating windows.
Currently we use the default window dock state "windowdockstatedocked!" on all our windows.
When we migrate our application to PowerBuilder 2025 R3,
1) Will the migration process automatically set the default window dock state to "windowdockstatefloating!" on all our window objects?
2) If the migration process does not automatically change the window dock state, is it sufficient to change the window dock state only on the ancestor window objects on the PB 2025 R3?
3) Is there any other option to set the windows dock state by default, say adding an entry to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerBuilder 25.0\pb.ini?
We have more than 500+ window objects, we want to make sure we do not have to open and change the window state on the individual objects.
Thanks, Raja
