STD Framework Apps for PB 2025 Beta

  Over the past week I have attained Beta Level #3 on my STD Framework against the most recent PB 2025 Beta #5 build 3674. If you would like to see how the framework now works with PB 2025 Beta and also experiment some more with the PB 2025 Beta #5 against various real life PB Apps, I am happy to announce the following Apps are now on Source Forge for downloading ...

  • A fully working business app that also shows off various framework features

Admin INI Utility: https://sourceforge.net/projects/stdfndclass/files/Applications/PowerBuilder/Admin_INI/Beta

  • Manages encrypted DBMS login information in any INI file

Marquee Utility: https://sourceforge.net/projects/stdfndclass/files/Applications/PowerBuilder/Marquee/Beta

  • Displays a "processing" marquee for any PB App that is performing a long process

Notification Utility: https://sourceforge.net/projects/stdfndclass/files/Applications/PowerBuilder/Notification/Beta

  • Writes messages to the MS-Windows notification area which are then displayed to the App user

Windows Explorer: https://sourceforge.net/projects/stdfndclass/files/Applications/PowerBuilder/WindowsExplorer/Beta

  • Just solved a PB 2022 R3 support ticket with that App yesterday.
  • This utility sees everything running in the MS-Windows O/S (you can run but, you can't hide).

All of the above Apps are using the Beta #3 of the STD Framework - which of course all versions of the framework are still free & fully open source.

FYI: There were 2,170 downloads of the framework in 2024.  ;-)
