Powerfilter not displaying filter button in excess of 80 columns?

I have a client that has been using an application that uses powerfilter to display a datawindow that has filters applied through the use of powerfilter. However, the number of columns in the datawindow has increased and has now 84 columns (headers) they are all identified i.e. appended with the _t but the last 10 columns are not displaying the filter button on the header. 
When I reduce the number of columns to only show those that of the last 10 the filter buttons appear again. 

All I can gather from this is that somewhere there is a restriction on the number of filter buttons that can be displayed, however, this is not evident in the code.

Desperately need some help to resolve this, and all code is propriety so I cannot show any of the code.
