We have a situation that we're running into that I believe might be a dependency issue but wanted to check with the community on this first.
I'm working a contract with a group that has multiple developers running PowerBuilder 2022 R3, Build 3356. This is the only IDE and runtime environment that is installed on our machines. We do not have multiple runtime environments installed.
The moment that the IT team goes in and removes .NET 6.0 from the development workstations, PowerBuilder ceases to launch.
My gut tells me that Build 3356 has a hard dependency for .NET 6.0, and has to stay, and that the PowerBuilder 2022 R3 3397 IDE would allow us to remove .NET 6.0 without use having this issue.
And I'm guessing we could make sure we have the 3356 build installed against 3397, and the IT team could possibly remove .NET 6.0 without causing the IDE to stop working.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
