Note About Windows Defender SmartScreen Warnings
Starting with version 2025 R2, Appeon uses a new DigiCert EV Code Signing certificate and Microsoft Authenticode to sign its release files.

Because Microsoft SmartScreen may need time to establish reputation data for a new certificate and newly released installer files, some users may see a warning such as: This app isn't commonly downloaded.
A similar warning may also appear when an installer is launched.

This is expected behavior and does not indicate a security issue with the file. Users may proceed with the installation after verifying that:

(1) The installer is digitally signed by Appeon Inc.
(2) The digital signature is valid.
(3) To verify the signature, right-click the installer, select Properties, and open the Digital Signatures tab.

Thank you for your continued support. We welcome your feedback on PowerBuilder, PowerServer, and InfoMaker 2025 R2.

Best regards,
The Appeon Product Team
