Hello,
I have a customer who wants to send email notifications when various conditions arise in the database. The user wants to include a link to Powerbuilder in the email and when the user clicks the link, open the PB application and go straight to the appropriate screen.
I am looking for an alternative to sending emails. I can set up a notification screen in the PB application that displays a message to the user rather than sending an email, then have a screen where the user looks at a list of issues, clicks on one and the application goes to the appropriate screen.
The issue is what if the application is minimized on the task bar, the user would not see the notification. Is it possible to change the application Icon so that the user knows there is an issue? This is similar to how MS Teams puts a red number in the application icon whenever someone sends you a chat message. When I see that, I know there is a message waiting.
Thanks,
Steve
