PDFDocument remove signature

Hello,
We are using PowerBuilder 2025 PDFDocument.ImportPDF to import existing PDF files retrieved as BLOBs from our Document Management System.
The original PDFs contain electronic signature visual content. When opened directly, the documents render correctly. However, after importing them with PDFDocument.ImportPDF and saving the result with PDFDocument.Save, the visual appearance is not preserved.
Specifically, the electronic signature text disappears and is replaced by a large empty bordered rectangle. Some checkbox/form elements are also rendered differently.
We understand that merging or modifying digitally signed PDFs may invalidate the cryptographic signature. However, in this case the main issue is that the visible appearance of the PDF page is changed after ImportPDF + Save.
Could you please confirm whether PDFDocument.ImportPDF supports signed PDFs or signature appearance streams?
Is there any option to flatten or preserve the visual appearance of these PDFs before importing/saving them with PDFDocument?
We can provide the original PDF, the generated PDF, screenshots, and a minimal PowerBuilder sample.
