Hello,
We are experiencing an issue with the 2025 version and our DataWindows, specifically those of type freeform that include left outer joins from a main view to other views.
We use SQL Server and the syntax format in the query builder.
We start from DataWindows where the fields are already positioned, and whose structure, for example, might be:
-
Main view: v_items.
-
View joined via left outer join: v_items_related_view.
-
A field drawn with the name: v_items_related_view_field_x.
When we add a new field to the query in the 2022 version, these fields are not affected and remain in place when returning from the query to the design environment.
However, we’ve noticed that in the 2025 version, when we add a field, or enter an space on the query, the dw regenerates to the 2025 version and the fields from related tables lose their position and formatting and are moved to the top right, as if they had been added right now.
This is a problem because, unless there is a simple solution, we will have to work on nearly all the DataWindows in the application.
Is this a known issue in PB2025?
Is there anything we can do to regenerate the DataWindows in the 2025 version without losing the positioned elements?
Regards.
Alvar.
