I'm getting ready to migrate from PB 2019 R3 to PB 2025, and I see significant changes to the process of generating C# Models from PB Datawindows.
First, I notice that SnapDevelop is no longer bundled with PowerBuilder. I understand that SnapDevelop is a free download, but I also see that I should be able to generate C# Models from within PowerBuilder 2025 using a .NET Datastore Project.
Since I expect to install full Visual Studio, I'll be happy enough to bypass SnapDevelop if I can. Can you please confirm that I can generate C# Models within PB 2025, not using SnapDevelop (as I do now with PB 2019 R3)?
I'm now getting stuck attempting to create a new Database Profile for the .NET Datastore Project:
I first select Provider "SQL Anywhere (ODBC)".
I now see that only 64 bit ODB Data Sources are listed in the "User or system data source name" drop-down. I select a 64 bit ODBC data source that successfully connects within 64 bit ODBC Data Source Administrator.
When I click "Test Connection..." for the profile, I get an error: "The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application".
It seems the thing to do would be to select a 32 bit ODBC Data Source, but such do not show up in the drop down list.
Help is appreciated. Thanks!
