Hello Community,
I recently migrated a Powerbuilder project to PB2022 R3 build 3397. It is a 32-bit application using Built-In TxText Control ActiveX.
In several data windows, I use columns with the richtext edit style.
PowerBuilder crashes when these data windows go out of scope, for example, when closing the window, or in one case, when resetting the data object (this.dataobject = "d_new") in a wizard window.
This only happens on the customer's PC when running the .exe version. On my local development PC (with PowerBuilder IDE installed), no crashes occur, neither when running the .exe version nor when running from the IDE.
I therefore believe it's related to the deployment files. According to the documentation, I copied the recommended files directly into the program's execution directory on the customer's PC and also used the Runtime Packager (with the rich text option).
Furthermore, I installed MS Virtual Console redistributable 2013.
I have also tried to work around by setting the datawindow invisible or setting focus to another control or even resetting data with Reset() but nothing helps.
I have attached the detailed report from the Windows event log.
The crash seems to happen in mfc120.dll
Maybe someone has an idea how to fix that.
Thank you in advance
Best Regards
Martin
