I’m seeking advice on whether anyone can recommend a PB object that emulates MS Outlook’s calendar.
I develop a client-server application used by law enforcement where date/time events play an important part. Such events are now displayed in the application in a freeform datawindow relevant to a specific event, in a chronological grid presentation for all listed events, or in a graph time-line.
To put time/dates in further perspective for the Users in a more familiar context, I’d like to draw on the SQL Server DB event table and display all events in a calendar presentation similar to Outlook, where there are navigation month-calendars on the left of the screen, and a larger month or day display options where events for each day are chronologically listed.
I would like to use a PB object because, frankly, being a self-taught programmer, I do not have programming skills outside PB. I would like to understand how the object works, and modify it if necessary.
That said, I do contractually engage a very skilled and competent programmer when there’s a need to factor in third-party software if that is the better option in this case.
I do not want to complicate things for clients by having them to, say, open a Google account to use Google’s calendar.
Any advice would be welcomed.
