I'm trying to test drive PowerServer.
We have many applications but universally we use ODB ODBC to connect to either Oracle or SQL Server because our customer base uses both these databases and we decided to use ODBC so that we need only one set of code for all customers.
All good.
But when I try to configure PowerServer I do not get the option for generic ODBC. I MUST choose a database-specific driver. Is there a way to allow PowerServer to accept ODB ODBC?
Also:
Currently we use connection strings to make connections at run-time. We can have multiple transaction objects open accessing different databases (including some Oracle and some SQL Server). How could this be achieved with Powerserver when it appears that the database connection is stipulated at build time?
TIA
