.Net Data Store connect to \sqlexpress and datawindow .net 2.5 save as pdf

Dear community friends

 

I have a request to move a group of datawindow reports to a react web and mobile application, but I am having a couple issues:

 

1) I know that .net Data store is not for presentation but I want to test it for connecting and retreiving data.

a) I have the issue that is not possible to conect to sqlserver with \sqlexpress or  \developer installed versions, I was able to connect to a 192.168.xx.xx server without issues, not possible with my developing databases.  Any hint on what needs to be done?

I tried with <servername>\sqlexpress and \\sqlexpress and localhost\sqlepress, etc  with no sucess

b) Is there a plan to enable visual representation of datawindows or at least save as PDF, that is going to be easier to render on web or mobile?

c) If not, what can be your recomendations to create reports using this type of datasource for web and mobile.

 

2)  as alternative I also have the old .net datawindow 2.5, and was able to create a c# POC app to read the pbl, the .srd, retreive the data and saveAS, but the PDF is empty (not others like csv)

 

a) I do remember this issue time ago probably in PB 11 o 10.5 but cannot remember the solution.  Any hint?

I was able to install a 32bit ghostscript on Windows 11 and many other tricks but without sucess.

b) Any other possible solution ?
